
Soprano
Samantha
attained a Bachelor with Honors in Voice, at Adelaide University
in 1995.
Whilst studying, she was a chorister and soloist with Adelaide University
Choir, Adelaide Chorus and Graduate Singers.
She has appeared in the chorus of the State Opera of South Australia
and, the Victoria State Opera.
In 1997 she was invited to sing as a guest artist in the Melbourne
International Festival of Organ and Harpsichords (MIFOH) performing
with acclaimed harpsichordist, Ruth Halton and International guest
artist, John O'Donnell (Viola da Gamba).
That same year she was a finalist in the Australian Song Competition.
Samantha moved to London a year later to develop her vocal studies.
She was a soloist with a number of choirs including the Bristol Bach
Choir and the Orlando Chamber Choir in London.
She was
a finalist in the 1999 Mozart Competition, attended voice lessons
with Jennifer Smith
and attended the Parley of Instruments Summer School in Cambridge.
Samantha is now based back in Adelaide but returns each year to perform
with 'Le Symphonie des Plaisirs' in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in
Scotland.
There are future plans to record a program of French Baroque
Cantata's and Air de Cour with company Director and Lutenist,
Gordon Ferries.
Samantha sang in the Bel Canto Opera Company Chorus in 2002 and will
be appearing with them in the future as a Soloist.
She is also Artistic
Administrator for the company.
