The TExettes love what they do and it shows!
The TExette sound of Alex, Helen and Terry is country, blues and pop at its best - original music that cleverly interlaces strong melodies, and powerful and emotional lyrics, plus some covers.In August 2003, the TExettes were selected as one of the ten finalists in the Adelaide Muster Showcase.
Following the change of line up from a 5 piece to 3 piece band in January 2003, and inspired by “the gals” new found confidence and eagerness to develop vocally as individuals, the TExettes new original material, “Lookin’ For Love”, “Take This Heart”, “You Don’t Understand the Blues” and “Come Swim with Me”, perfectly showcases the individual vocal styles of both Helen and Alex.
This trend will continue and will be reflected in the second album currently being developed.
