CD Launch a huge success!
Avon had an enthusiastic and capacity crowd for the launch of their first CD album, 'National Frisbee Day' at Jade Monkey in Twin Street City on Friday 28th March.You can purchase the full range of their current and previous CD's at Big Star and Borders Music.
Over the past four years, Avon has established itself as one of Adelaide’s most respected independent guitar bands. Its style of innovative and unique song writing has found a receptive audience locally, interstate and overseas.
Avon’s music can be described as cleverly constructed guitar pop,accompanied by sweet female vocals within an eclectic dynamic.
‘National Frisbee Day’ asserts their future direction with the introduction of synthesized sounds to their continuing guitar pop tradition.The album includes the hit single, ‘The Driver Whose Fault it Wasn’t’ which was featured on Triple J’s Australian music month in November, 2002.
