
David Perry Baritone
Over
recent years, David Perry has performed regularly on both the concert
platform and the opera stage. His Oratorio repertoire includes the bass
roles as Christus in the St Matthew Passion and St John Passion (JS
Bach), the title role of St Paul (Mendelssohn), The Messiah (Handel),
Requiem Mass (Mozart), Requium (Faure), Salve Regina, Stabat Mater and
Paukenmesse (Haydn), Requiem (Durufle) and many others.
His
Operatic roles include, with Co*Opera, Marcello, Schaunard, Benoit and
Alcindoro in La Boheme, El Dancairo in Carmen, The Count in The Marriage
of Figaro, Silvio in I Pagliacci, Germont in La Traviata and Sharpless
in Madame Butterfly.
He
has been a member of The State Opera of South Australia chorus for many
years with principal roles as Antonio in The Marriage of Figaro, and
The Captain in Manon Lescaut. He is also an inaugural member of the
Bel Canto Opera Company.
He
has also sung with and been a regular member of The Corinthian Singers
of Adelaide as a soloist and chorister and has also featured as a guest
soloist in the Adelaide Carols by Candlelight in Adelaide's Elder Park.
David
recently performed in The State Opera's production of Tosca and is performing
in their coming production of Parsifal in September this year.
