Andrew Jones Baritone

After completing three years at the Victorian College of the Arts, Andrew has worked in both professional musical theatre and opera. Productions include A Portrait of Love (Leonardo Productions), The Merry Widow (Essgee Productions), Le Nozze di Figaro (Eastern Metropolitan Opera), The Barber of Seville and The Sound Garden (Opera Australia’s School’s Company), Lohengrin, Sweeny Todd, Der Rosenkavalier, Tosca, La Cenerentola, (All with Opera Australia) and The Empresario (EmotionWorks). Andrew has performed the role of Figaro in Co–Opera’s touring production of The Marriage of Figaro as well as Schaunard in Oz Opera’s touring production of La Boheme.
Andrew performed the role of Bill Bobstay in Opera Australia’s H.M.S. Pinafore in 2005. He has also performed the role of Morales in Oz Opera’s tour of Carmen. Andrew has also appeared as a soloist in many recitals and has been a featured artist with Orchestra Victoria in the Melbourne Chorale’s production of Faure’s Requiem and Camberwell Grammar’s production of Carmina Burana. Andrew has also performed the role of Lord Enrico Ashton for Bel Canto Opera Company in their production of Lucia di Lammermoor.
